Traditional fair

Fira de la Terra in Inca

The Fira de la Terra opens the Inca autumn fairs on 24 and 25 October 2026: folk tales, a plant market, a lamb auction and traditional dance in town.

Dates

  • 24 to 25 October 2026
  • 23 to 24 October 2027

Annually on the first of the three fair weekends before the Dijous Bo, at the end of October. The 2027 date is derived from the gap to the Dijous Bo and is not yet officially confirmed.

What to expect

The Fira de la Terra takes place in Inca on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026. It is the first of three autumn fairs leading up to the Dijous Bo on 19 November. The Ajuntament d'Inca publishes dates and programme on its Fires d'Inca page and in its overview of the autumn fairs. After it come the Fira de l'Esport i l'Oci on 31 October and 1 November and the Fira d'Època from 6 to 8 November.

The focus is on folk culture, farming and activities for families. The official opening is on Saturday at 12 noon on Plaça d'Espanya, with the Agrupació Revetla d'Inca, a dance group from Murcia and the Xeremiers d'Inca pipers, who then parade through the town centre.

What is on in 2026, according to the town's programme:

  • Fira Màgica de les Rondalles on Plaça de Mallorca, both days from 10:00 to 19:30. The third edition of this fair of Mallorcan folk tales is dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the death of King Jaume I.
  • Racó dels Oficis on Plaça de sa Quartera: new this year, a corner where craftspeople show traditional trades and techniques.
  • Plant and flower market on Carrer Major and Carrer del Comerç, Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00.
  • Subhasta de xots i anyells, the auction of rams and lambs run by the Cooperativa Pagesa d'Inca, Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00 in the bullring.
  • Inca Yokai Fest on Carrer de Miquel Duran and Plaça del Mercat Cobert, a small Japan-themed fair with merchandise stalls, cosplay and workshops.
  • Creativíssim at the Fàbrica Ramis, a fair for crafts and DIY projects.
  • Sunday: Fira d'Entitats with local associations on Plaça de la Llibertat (10:00 to 19:00), a recycling fair by the market hall, a food and second-hand market on Plaça del Bestiar (9:00 to 14:00) and, to close, the traditional Ballada de Sant Lluc folk dance at 19:00 on Plaça de Mallorca.

The funfair rides at the Quarter General Luque run from 23 October to 20 November, covering all three fair weekends and the Dijous Bo.

Practical tips

  • Getting there: The train from Palma to Inca is the easier option; the station is a few minutes' walk from Plaça d'Espanya. At the weekend, car parks in the centre fill up quickly.
  • Costs: The streets and squares are free to visit. Creativíssim costs €2 (children up to 12 free), and the Saturday evening concert with music from the 60s to the 80s at the Quarter General Luque costs €7.
  • With children: The folk tales on Plaça de Mallorca and the animals at the lamb auction are the parts of the programme children enjoy most.
  • Check the programme: Times and locations can change at short notice. The current version is on incaciutat.com/firesinca.
