So that you can interpret our recommendations correctly, we disclose how we generate income. Mallorca Plus is an independent guide for people who live on Mallorca or are moving here. We finance our editorial work partly through affiliate partnerships: when you book a product or a service via a labelled link (for example a language school, an insurance policy, a banking tool or an activity on the island), we receive a commission from the provider. The following sections explain in detail how these links work, why they do not cost you a single cent more and how we make sure our editorial independence is nevertheless preserved.
What are affiliate links?
On our website you will find so-called affiliate links (also: partner links) in various places. These are links to products or services of external providers that we recommend to you. If you buy a product or use a service via such a link, we receive a referral commission from the respective provider.
Does this incur extra costs for you?
No. The price changes absolutely nothing for you. You pay the same price you would pay without the affiliate link. The commission is paid by the provider to us and has no influence on the final price.
How can you recognise affiliate links?
We label affiliate content on our website transparently. Affiliate recommendations carry the notes partner recommendation, advertising or sponsored. This way you can clearly recognise at any time when a link is promotional.
Our editorial independence
The possibility of generating income through affiliate links does not influence our editorial work. We only recommend products and services that we have researched ourselves and that we are convinced offer our readers real added value.
The decision whether and which affiliate links are included lies solely with our editorial team. Providers have no influence on the editorial content of our guides and articles.
