What to expect
The Fira de Nadal i dels Reis is the City of Palma's official Christmas market. It is not one square packed with stalls but three locations in the city centre that you can easily walk between. Plaça Major and La Rambla mainly have stalls with crafts, nativity figures, Christmas decorations, gifts and sweets. Parc de ses Estacions most recently hosted the fairground rides for children, along with food stalls. If you have small children with you, that is the place to start.
The 2025/26 season ran from 22 November to 7 January and was open daily from 10 am to 9 pm. These are last year's figures: the city usually publishes the dates and opening hours for 2026/27 in the autumn on palma.cat. On public holidays, especially 25 December and 1 January, many stalls close early or do not open at all.

Practical tips
- When it gets busy: Weekend afternoons, the 8 December public holiday and the days before 6 January are crowded. On weekday mornings or early evenings you can stroll around much more comfortably.
- By train and bus: Trains and the metro run to Estació Intermodal on Plaça d'Espanya, right next to Parc de ses Estacions. From there it is about a ten-minute walk to Plaça Major. Many EMT bus lines also stop at Plaça d'Espanya.
- Parking: Plaça Major is in the pedestrian zone. Use one of the underground car parks, for example under Plaça Major or at Parc de ses Estacions, and expect queues at the entrance on Saturdays.
- Costs: Entry is free. You pay for rides, food and anything you buy.
- Visiting from elsewhere: If you are coming to Palma for the market and the holidays, places to stay in Palma still offer a good choice in December, but availability gets tighter between Christmas and Three Kings' Day.
