Winter: Sant Antoni and the dimonis
The festival year starts in January with Sant Antoni, the patron saint of animals. Around 16 and 17 January, Alcudia lights its foguerons, the big bonfires where people grill, sing, and dance. Costumed dimonis, the Mallorcan devils, move through the narrow streets and play tricks on the crowd. The next day brings the Beneïdes, the blessing of pets in front of the church.

Summer: Sant Pere, La Victòria, and Sant Jaume
The busiest festival period falls in high summer. It opens at the end of June with the fishermen's festival:
- Festes de Sant Pere (29 June): in the harbour of Port d Alcudia, the fishing community celebrates its patron saint with a sea procession, carrying a statue of the saint across the water on decorated boats.
- Mare de Déu de la Victòria (2 July): the pilgrimage of the pelegrins to the Ermita de la Victòria on the peninsula is one of the town's oldest traditions.
- Festes de Sant Jaume (around 25 July): the biggest festival of the year, in honour of the town's patron saint.
The Festes de Sant Jaume run for about a week and peak on 25 July, the feast day of Alcudia's patron saint. The highlight is the appearance of the Estol del Rei en Jaume, a historical group that re-enacts King Jaume's arrival on the island. Alongside that there are concerts, theatre, verbenas (open-air dance nights), and a large fireworks display.
Tip: get there early
The old town gets tight during the concerts and fireworks around Sant Jaume. If you are bringing children, claim a spot near the Plaça early in the evening and plan to walk home, because many streets are closed off.
Autumn: Fira d Alcudia
Once the high season is over, the medieval old town transforms in early October for the Fira d Alcudia. This three-day fair combines a large craft and farmers' market with demonstrations, tastings of local products, and cultural events, often referencing the Roman past of the city of Pollentia. Many residents prefer the Fira to the summer festivals, because the weather is milder and the crowds are much thinner than in July.

The town hall publishes the exact date of the Fira d Alcudia and the festival programme shortly beforehand. Plan flexibly for a weekend in early October.

Parking in the old town is scarce. Use the car parks on the edge of town and walk the last few minutes.
Take local produce home
The market sells olive oil, cheese, wine, and crafts from the region. Bring cash, as many stalls do not take cards.
